Over the past few years, a range of consultancies and think-tanks have sprung up to build bridges between and support China Africa relationships. While we also focus on other topics, Development Reimagined is proud to be one of these organisations, amongst others such as China Africa Advisory (CAA), the Made in Africa Initiative (MIAI). We are particular fans of the China Africa Project, run by Eric Olander and Cobus Van Staden, two journalists who, alongside their day jobs, do weekly podcasts with Africa-China experts from all around the world. Our CEO Hannah Ryder and some of our experts for various projects have featured on the podcast several times.
This week, we were particularly pleased to see Development Reimagined analysis and expertise feature on several fact-sheets in a new “Reporting Guide”, published in English and Chinese, to help journalists reporting on the upcoming 7th Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) taking place in Beijing from 3-4 September 2018 get their facts right and prepare.
