A 2021 report indicated that it costs US$ 4,000 to ship a 40ft container from Shanghai to Lagos and an extra US$ 4,000 to ship the same container from the Lagos port to Lagos mainland. Such economic strain can only be overcome with building infrastructure, sustainably.
